The story was all right, but the plot started building up at the very end of the movie, and by that time it was too little, too late. Lara Flynn Boyle' character was an absolute joke and she managed to drag down the quality of everyone else's acting in the movie. The graphics for a movie with a budget this big were absolutley terrible, they were far too obvious and overdone. Of the few redeeming aspects of this film, Jeff (the giant worm) was by far the best character and surprisingly, the best actor in the entire movie. as a whole, it was not even a fraction as good as the origional; dont waste you're time or money on it I implore you!

Personally, I feel that Will Smith did and extremely well role in this movie. It was a wonderful family movie and everybody was able to watch it. I like the idea the Smith doesn't have to use swear words to sell his movies and is able to say it how it is, in a professional matter. My whole family was able to watch it, and we laughed for hours.

I waited til it came on HBO and just saw other night. My god, horrible. Anyone that scores this A is just another Will Smith spindoctor that thinks anything he touches is gold. The first one was great, this was one was a flop. That's the bottom line. Smith 'tries' to be the persona of Tommy Lee Jones from MIB 1 with the stone face, the heartless monotone alien talk and it simply does not work. The plot, thin. Visuals were mediocre at best going by today's standards. The only semi-funny thing in the whole movie is the talking dog, and that only made me crack a smile. I didn't laugh once in the whole movie. Thumbs down.

The visuals are so outstanding in this one, but the story was incredibly useless! Will and Tommy are back in this weakest sequel ever to be made. The first one was ten times better than this stupid sequel. Barry Sonefeild who directed both of the MIB movies, totally screwed up on this one! This some kind of alien pre-tends to be a woman and later tries to destroy Kay ( Tommy Lee Jones ) and Jay ( Will Smith ). Everything in this movie sucks, but not the visuals and the acting. Even it sucked, it had good acting and kinda funny. If MIIIB comes, lets hope that it will be a least better than the second. Hope Barry Sonefeild will direct better, or maybe he won't direct the third.

where do i start off? there were so many things wrong w/ this movie- major lack of action, bad visuals and OVERACTING. i like the actors- who doesn't-but they were terrible in this movie. the worms had a mentality of a sick perverted middle-aged man, the main characters were whining the whole time i wanted to ask them if they had some cheese to go w/ that whine and the movie was short as hell- i've seen longer episodes of playhouse disney shorts than this. the first movie was a true classic, and they should've left it at that. but nooooo they wanted to make another one and get greedy- i was truly disappointed w/ this movie and i do not reccomend it.

The story here isn't nearly as original as the first movie. As a matter fact...it sucks. And Will Smith is in his usual roll as the Omega. And, of course, he falls in love with the pretty girl with no real personallity(who's just essential in these movies now, isn't she?). Of the two, Tommy Lee Jones, in my opinion is the better actor.It also turns Frank(the pug-dog) into a trite gemmick, though a funny one, a trite one none the less. Little effort to create a good villian. So to sum it all up, I suppose I'll say, Jay goes to retrieve Kay, and they look for 'the light', who happens to be a pretty girl. The rest just writes itself, huh? If you're looking for a clever sci-fi film like "Men In Black" don't watch "Men In Black II".

"The Special Effects are good, but often pointless" ( imitating what Roger Ebert said about this movie ) I kinda agree with Roger Ebert"s comments about this movie. I didn't really gave this movie a C or lower because this movie was kinda good. Wasn't the first good enough? See what I mean about people making some crapped up sequels to one of the best movies? It really, really, really sucks. The crap sequels are just trying to ruin the ending to the first good ones. Though, there is some movies that turn into a good sequel, or an even better sequels. Those "good sequels" includes: Aliens Jaws 2 Blade 2 Terminator 2 The Matrix Reloaded The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Toys Story 2 The Lost World: Jurassic Park Spy Kids 2 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Predator 2 Those are the only sequels that turn into either good or better sequels to their very first movie. Okay, Men in Black 2 is kinda good, but the whole thing is way too disappointing. Their story is PREDICTABLE. I really liked their visuals as much as the first one. Their acting is okay though. It's also disappointing making the villanous alien as a woman. A WOMAN?!!! You gotta be kidding me. But the alien also how it really looked like was also kinda cool. The woman alien didn't have to take away someones body away though. The alien looked more like a giant attacking snake rose. This movie wasn't as funny as what you might've been. It's not really funny. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones were still cool together. It really sucks for the woman ( or the so called "The LIGHT" ) who had to go inside that tiny space ship thingy. She didn't return to earth again. The ending was totally disappointing. We didn't even know what just happened. This movie is also shorter than the first one. That's why this movie wasn't really that good. This movie is kind of a bad sequel to the awesome first one. Not only is this movie disappointing, it's Ridiculous of how they made the second in the first place. But since this movie was well scripted, the acting was good, the special effects were also good too, this movie got a B-. I don't really recommend most people to watch this movie. It's often "POINTLESS" though. It kind of ruined MIB. Still a good movie though.

I loved this movie, its one of my favorites. I loved the humor and the dog scenes were excellent. Yeah the first one made a little more sense and their were some story lines that were missed between the first and the second. But overall it is my favorite movie in the past oh say 5 years. As we all know, sequels are hardly ever as good as the original movie. This was obviously the case for Men in Black II. The first Men in Black was terrific! I thought that the duo of Lee and Smith would be a knockout, but I was thoroughly disapointed in this film. The story line was all jumbled up into this one huge mess, mixed in with these random fighting sequences that didn't really fit the "plot" (If there even was one). I expected the last fighting scene to really captivate my attention with some huge Man VS. Beast struggle, but it was so boring and lame that I definately wouldn't pay another $5 to go see it again. I was very excited about this movie before I saw it, because I truly enjoyed the first one, but this movie was shockingly disapointing!
